About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accounting Staff to join our dynamic finance team at PT. Mitra Utama Plastindo in Surabaya, Java. As a full-time member of our organisation, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, ensuring we meet all regulatory requirements and provide reliable financial information to support the company's strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Preparing accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Overseeing the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and balanced
• Analysing financial data, identifying trends, and providing insights to help the management team make informed decisions
• Ensuring compliance with Indonesian Accounting Standards (SAK) and all other relevant financial regulations
• Collaborating with the wider finance team to improve financial processes and controls
• Providing support and guidance to junior accounting staff, mentoring and developing their skills

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in the manufacturing or plastics industry
• Excellent understanding of Indonesian Accounting Standards (SAK) and financial regulations
• Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Good knowledge in Indonesia's tax system
