SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE & ACCOUNT ASSISTANT

Senior Account Executive - 1 person (RM3,500 - RM5,000)
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Account Executive to join our finance team. You will be responsible for managing the full set of company accounts, ensuring financial accuracy and integrity, and executing banking transactions. This senior role involves financial analysis, process improvement, and supervising junior accounting staff.

Account Assistant - 1 person (RM1,800 - RM2,500)
We are seeking a meticulous and highly organized Accounts Assistant Executive to join our Finance team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our daily financial operations, ensuring that all transactions—from vendor payments to client invoicing—are processed accurately. You will work closely with the Senior Accountant to maintain healthy cash flow and ensure our books are audit-ready at all times.

JOB TASK - SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE
  1. FULL SET OF ACCOUNTS MANAGEMENT
    1. Handle day-to-day financial operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL).
    2. Perform timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing procedures.
    3. Prepare and maintain financial statements, including the Profit & Loss Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.
    4. Manage fixed asset register, prepayments, and accrual schedules.
    5. Perform monthly bank and intercompany reconciliations.
  2. ANALYSIS & BUDGETING
    1. Perform monthly variance analysis of actual results against budget and forecast, providing written commentary on key drivers.
    2. Analyze financial trends, gross profit margins, and operating expenses.
    3. Assist the Account Manager in the annual budgeting and forecasting exercises by compiling and analyzing data.
  3. BANKING AND PAYMENT TRANSACTIONS
    1. Prepare and execute payment transactions via online corporate banking portals, including payments to suppliers, staff claims, and statutory bodies.
    2. Monitor daily bank balances and perform bank statement reconciliations.
    3. Serve as a liaison with the bank for operational matters.
    4. Ensure all payment documentation is complete, properly approved, and filed systematically.
  4. TAX & STATUTORY COMPLIANCE
    1. Prepare and submit SST returns in a timely manner.
    2. Liaise with external parties, including auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries, to ensure compliance with all statutory requirements (MFRS, Companies Act).
    3. Prepare audit schedules and provide necessary documentation for the annual audit process.
  5. SUPERVISION & PROCESS IMPROVEMENT
    1. Supervise, guide, and review the work of junior staff (e.g., Account Assistants/Executives).
    2. Approve payment vouchers and journal entries prepared by the junior team.
    3. Continuously review accounting processes and internal controls to identify areas for improvement.
    4. Recommend and implement more efficient procedures to shorten the month-end closing timeline.
    5. Assist in the documentation of accounting policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS
  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related professional qualification (e.g., LCCI, ACCA part-qualified).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in handling a full set of accounts. Experience in audit firm is an added advantage.
  • Proficient in accounting software AutoCount and Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiar with online corporate banking platforms and payment procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and local tax and labour regulations.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines.
  • Required language(s): Mandarin, English, Bahasa Malaysia. Able to communicate in Mandarin with Chinese clients.
JOB TASK - ACCOUNT ASSISTANT
  1. ACCOUNT PAYABLE (AP) & PAYMENT
    1. Receive, verify, and process supplier invoices, matching them against Purchase Orders (POs) and Delivery Orders (DOs).
    2. Prepare payment vouchers and assist in scheduling online bank transfers for approved invoices.
    3. Assist in reconciling supplier statements of account and resolving discrepancies.
  2. ACCOUNT RECEIVABLE (AR) & COLLECTIONS
    1. Assist in the preparation and issuance of customer invoices and statements of account.
    2. Accurately record payments received from customers into the accounting system.
    3. Assist in sending payment reminders for overdue accounts.
  3. GENERAL ACCOUNTING & ADMINISTRATION
    1. Perform timely and accurate data entry of all financial transactions into the accounting software AutoCount.
    2. Maintain a systematic and organized filing system for all accounting documents, including invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers.
    3. Process and verify employee expense claims according to company policy.
    4. Assist senior account executive with bank reconciliations and the preparation of schedules for month-end closing.
QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS
  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related professional qualification (e.g., LCCI, ACCA part-qualified).
  • Minimum of 0-2 years of proven experience in handling a full set of accounts. Experience in audit firm is an added advantage. (Fresh grads with internships are welcome.)
  • Experience in accounting software AutoCount is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and local tax and labour regulations.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines.
  • Required language(s): Mandarin, English, Bahasa Malaysia. Able to communicate in Mandarin with Chinese clients.
