Client Industry: Leading gas detection equipment company servicing for the Marine, Offshore Production & Shipping, Oil & Gas Refining, Semiconductor Manufacturing & Institution Laboratories.
Responsibilities
- Develop, establish and maintain existing accounts with Ship-Owners, Ship Managers, Superintendent and Ship Chandlers locally in Singapore.
- Build and maintain contact with all customers to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer negotiation, follow up on enquiries and close sales in an effective and efficient manner.
- Generate monthly sales reports, forecasts and market information.
- Prepare and execute action plans to secure sales leads and prospects.
- Participate in local and overseas entertainment to uphold customer relations.
- Handle marine related exhibitions and other related marine events.
- Lead a team of 7 Indoor Sales Coordinators and assist in solving sales-related issues.
- Coordinate meetings with potential clients and respond to incoming emails and phone inquiries.
- Any other ad‑hoc tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma in Business / Sales and Marketing.
- 4 to 6 years’ experience in sales of gas detection products and/or systems.
- Experience in handling and communicating with Ship-owners, Ship Managers, Superintendent and Ship Chandlers is an added advantage.
- This position will involve local and regional travel (30% overseas travel).
- Self‑motivated and committed to work.
- Handles the arrangement of meetings with potential clients and responds to incoming mail and phone enquiries.
- Performance driven, target oriented, with a strong passion for achieving exceptional results.
- Mature and willing to work under limited supervision.
- Proven leadership experience with a positive and solution‑oriented mindset.
- Capacity to manage high stress situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to start work immediately or at short notice is an added advantage.
