Job summary

A leading petroleum company in Jakarta Utara is seeking a Reservoir Engineer to prepare reservoir and production data, perform analysis, and assist in reservoir model updates. Fresh graduates are welcome, and 1–2 years of experience in a related role is advantageous. The role includes preparing technical reports and participating in well intervention studies. Strong understanding of reservoir engineering and proficiency in English are required.

Qualifications

  • Fresh graduates are welcome; 1–2 years of experience is an advantage.
  • Internship or final project experience in subsurface consultancy is a plus.
  • Good understanding of decline curve and recovery mechanisms.

Job description
Overview

Prepare reservoir engineering and production data (pressure, PVT, Welltest, production history, SCAL, etc.) from wells and fields.

Perform reservoir engineering analysis (e.g., material balance, decline curve, pressure transient analysis, etc) under supervision.

Assist in building and updating reservoir simulation models (e.g., Eclipse, TNav).

Perform basic reservoir surveillance and well performance monitoring.

Prepare reserves reporting for SKK Migas and Internal company.

Support geoscientists and subsurface teams in conducting subsurface studies.

Support in preparing technical reports and presentations for internal management and SKK Migas.

Participate in well intervention or field development studies as assigned by the senior engineer.

Support drilling operation including well proposal preparation, execution and monitoring.

Qualifications
  • Fresh graduates are welcome; 1–2 years of experience in a reservoir/petroleum engineering role is an advantage.
  • Internship or final project experience with a PSC/KKKS or subsurface consultancy is an advantage.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English.
  • Good understanding of reservoir engineering principles: material balance, decline curve, recovery mechanisms, well test interpretation, reservoir simulation.
