Overview
As a Receptionist at Mad Monkey Uluwatu, you’ll be the first point of contact for our guests. Your role is to create a warm welcome, provide seamless check-in/check-out experiences, share insider tips, and ensure our guests have the time of their lives. This isn’t your typical front desk job—it’s part receptionist, part party host, part travel guide!
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a smile and a high-five (optional but encouraged!)
- Manage check-in/check-out process via property management system (PMS)
- Handle reservations, inquiries, and guest requests—online, in person, and via phone
- Assist with activity and tour bookings
- Share local knowledge, from surf spots to secret warungs
- Support smooth daily hostel operations in coordination with housekeeping, bar, and activities teams
- Resolve guest issues with a positive, can-do attitude
- Help maintain a lively, inclusive, and social vibe at the hostel
Requirements
- Previous hospitality, reception, or customer service experience preferred
- Fluent in English; other languages are a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to stay cool under pressure and multitask
- Tech-savvy, comfortable using booking systems and online platforms
- Energetic, outgoing, and ready to be part of the Mad Monkey culture
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
