About Our Client

Job Description

1. Research & Product Development
   • Develop and optimize protective coating formulations for industrial, automotive, marine, and other applications.
   • Lead R&D projects from concept to commercialization, ensuring timely delivery.
   • Conduct material research to enhance product performance, durability, and environmental compliance.
   • Evaluate and implement sustainable and eco-friendly coating technologies.
2. Testing & Quality Assurance
   • Oversee laboratory testing for adhesion, corrosion resistance, weatherability, and other key properties.
   • Ensure compliance with industry standards (ASTM, ISO, REACH, RoHS, etc.).
   • Collaborate with Quality and Production teams to ensure consistent product quality.
3. Innovation & Process Improvement
   • Identify and integrate new raw materials, technologies, and process improvements.
   • Work closely with suppliers and research institutions to stay ahead of industry trends.
   • Implement Six Sigma and Lean methodologies to improve R&D efficiency.
4. Cross-functional Collaboration
   • Work with Sales & Marketing to understand customer needs and translate them into innovative products.
   • Support Manufacturing in scaling up formulations for production.
   • Provide technical support to customers and troubleshoot application issues.

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or related field.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in protective coatings, paint, or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of polymer chemistry, resin technologies, and surface coatings.
• Experience with formulation, rheology control, and pigment dispersion.
• Familiarity with industry standards (ASTM, ISO, NACE, SSPC, etc.).
