Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee procurement of materials and non-materials required for production and operations.
  • Source, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.
  • Negotiate prices, contracts, and terms with suppliers to optimize purchasing costs.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production and warehouse teams to meet material requirements.
  • Supervise, mentor, and manage the performance of the purchasing team
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement procedures, and relevant regulations.
  • Generate purchasing reports and provide insights to the Plant Director to support strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with production, finance, and logistics teams to align procurement with operational needs.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and supplier consolidation.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on material trends, pricing, and supplier innovations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in purchasing/procurement, preferably in furniture/similar industry
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of sourcing, contract management, and inventory control.
  • Experienced in leading & supervising team
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Results-driven, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of material and non-material procurement processes and market trends.
