Overview

Job Description – Production Assistant Manager

The Production Assistant Manager plays a key role in ensuring all products meet customer expectations, comply with food safety standards (HACCP), and align with quality management system requirements and relevant legislation.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure all products are fit for purpose and meet established quality and safety standards.
  • Oversee the implementation and compliance of the Food Safety (HACCP) and Quality Management Systems.
  • Coordinate production and quality control activities to achieve company objectives.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of the Quality and Food Safety Management System against key indicators.
  • Publish regular reports and data analysis on company performance.
  • Liaise with managers and staff to ensure effective functioning of the quality control system.
  • Provide advice, guidance, and recommendations for process improvements in production and quality management.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee the production process to ensure compliance with GMP, SOP, SSOP, and HACCP standards.
  • Safeguard and manage all company assets within the assigned area.
  • Evaluate daily Key Performance Indicators (Productivity, Costs, and Quality) and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Lead and implement cost reduction programs within the production line/section.
  • Improve employee productivity by developing and maintaining strong performance standards.
  • Ensure readiness and compliance for both internal and external audits.
  • Actively contribute as a member of the Management Team.
