Job Description – Production Assistant Manager
The Production Assistant Manager plays a key role in ensuring all products meet customer expectations, comply with food safety standards (HACCP), and align with quality management system requirements and relevant legislation.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all products are fit for purpose and meet established quality and safety standards.
- Oversee the implementation and compliance of the Food Safety (HACCP) and Quality Management Systems.
- Coordinate production and quality control activities to achieve company objectives.
- Monitor and report on the performance of the Quality and Food Safety Management System against key indicators.
- Publish regular reports and data analysis on company performance.
- Liaise with managers and staff to ensure effective functioning of the quality control system.
- Provide advice, guidance, and recommendations for process improvements in production and quality management.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the production process to ensure compliance with GMP, SOP, SSOP, and HACCP standards.
- Safeguard and manage all company assets within the assigned area.
- Evaluate daily Key Performance Indicators (Productivity, Costs, and Quality) and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Lead and implement cost reduction programs within the production line/section.
- Improve employee productivity by developing and maintaining strong performance standards.
- Ensure readiness and compliance for both internal and external audits.
- Actively contribute as a member of the Management Team.
Qualifications, Education & Experience
- Minimum of a Senior Secondary education, with strong background in production/related fields.
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
- Solid understanding of production processes, quality control, and compliance standards.
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
