This role is responsible for assessing, designing, and optimizing electrification solutions across EV and charging ecosystem. The position ensures that all EV deployment projects—covering vehicles, charging infrastructure, and supporting electrical systems—meet technical, safety, and operational standards. The role will collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and product teams to strengthen electrification capabilities and solution quality.
Key Responsibilities
Electrification Assessment & Design
- Conduct technical assessments of site electrification readiness, including power availability, distribution systems, and grid interaction.
- Develop electrical design recommendations for EV charging infrastructure, battery systems, and supporting equipment.
- Review load calculations, protection schemes, grounding/earthing requirements, and voltage drop analysis.
- Ensure all electrification solutions comply with national standards (PUIL, PLN requirements) and international best practices.
Product & Solution Development
- Provide technical input for product roadmap relating to EV charging, electrical systems, and energy infrastructure.
- Work with OEMs, charger manufacturers, and electrical suppliers to validate technical compatibility and performance.
- Support development of modular, scalable electrification solutions for mining, industrial, and urban deployments.
- Evaluate new technologies (fast charging, V2G, battery swapping, energy management systems).
Project Support & Quality Assurance
- Support Operations and Project teams during deployment, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrification systems.
- Provide escalation support for high-level electrical issues, faults, and failure analysis.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with Operations team and Vendor partners to ensure end-to-end electrification readiness.
- Translate operational needs into technical requirements and product specifications.
- Provide training and knowledge‑sharing for internal teams regarding electrification standards and safety.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Mechatronics, or relevant field.
- 5–10 years of experience in electrical systems, EV charging, industrial power distribution, or related roles.
- Strong understanding of: LV/MV electrical systems, Load analysis & power quality, EV charging (AC/DC), communication protocols (OCPP, CAN), Protection systems and grounding.
- Experience with energy management systems (EMS) or smart charging.
- Knowledge of renewable integration (solar + battery + EV).
- Experience in mining, industrial facilities, or utility‑scale electrification is a strong plus.
- Ability to interpret technical documents: SLDs, as‑built drawings, specifications, and compliance standards.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in cross‑functional and field deployment environments.
