Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Pricing Strategist to join our team. This role plays a critical part in supporting sales operations and maintaining pricing integrity across our product portfolio. You will be responsible for managing and updating the ESAB Price Book, ensuring accuracy and consistency, and providing administrative and strategic support to the sales team to drive business performance.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and regularly update client databases to support lead generation.
- Manage the service hotline, responding to sales inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Provide general administrative and secretarial support, including document filing and minute-taking during sales meetings.
- Reporting & Compliance — Ensure quotations below minimum selling price are properly approved.
- Prepare and submit key reports to Sales and Supply Chain leadership: Weekly Gross Margin (GM) Report, Monthly Sales Report, Low GM & Discount Approval Report (SOX Compliance).
- Forecasting Support — Provide monthly data to Sales and Supply Chain teams to support consumables forecasting.
- Assist in preparing official quotations and tender documents for sales opportunities.
- Facilitate communication between customers/distributors and internal ESAB departments to ensure smooth execution of secured orders.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Supply Chain, Marketing, Customer Service, Finance, Sales) on matters such as payment terms, Incoterms, contract terms, Letter of Credit advice, delivery schedules, item creation, test requests, and GM approvals.
- Price Book Management — Maintain and update the ESAB Price Book for all product categories (Consumables, Equipment, Handling, Spares, PPE).
- Conduct pricing analysis and prepare price lists and distributor price lists within approved GM margins.
- Provide selling prices for ad hoc and new item inquiries and update pricing on iScala for Customer Service execution.
- Ensure iScala selling prices are consistently maintained and accurate.
- Lead the implementation of iScala Quotation system for Sales and Customer Service, aiming to eliminate manual quotations and improve tracking and price control (excluding high-value quotes/tenders).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration — Work closely with Customer Service and Supply Chain teams to ensure open communication and operational efficiency.
- Supply Chain Planning Support — Assist in supply chain planning activities, including purchase order follow-ups and updating ETAs in iScala.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience as a Pricing Analyst or in a pricing/price book management role is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple internal teams and track multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with pricing systems and ERP tools (e.g., iScala) is a plus.
