Job Description Plastic Component & Tooling Engineer

  • Specialist in plastic component and associated tool : specifying, implementing and qualifying the tool & manufacturing process.
  • For new offer, ensures the manufacturability of the plastic component and tool.
  • For manufacturing, contributes strongly to the continuous improvement actions for the tool & manufacturing process.
  • Launch tools with technical and financial study then follow up according to the needs, budget and schedule
  • Continuously monitor execution of projects, from RFQ stage to part approval, and payment
  • Define the tooling capacity and vendor machine allocation align with production forecast
  • Define the critical spare parts requirement for runner tooling
  • Define and coordinate the recourses involved on the project, retooling, day to day operation
  • Ensure the robustness of our parts and tooling developed
  • Support CS&Q, SCM, Production, Technical and Procurement team for tooling activities
  • Select, validate, introduce and standardize new technologies/processes locally in plastic components domain.
  • Manage asset management in vendor (periodically checking physical of asset in vendor and asset data in system)
  • Have knowledge in Casting, Stamping, Rubber Compression Molding, and Surface Treatment is a plus.
