About Us

Essence Pilates Studio is a premium, reformer-based Pilates studio in the heart of the city, dedicated to mindful movement, strength, and community. Our members come from all over the world – diplomats, expats, CEOs, creatives, and wellness enthusiasts and we pride ourselves on delivering an elevated, warm, and highly personalised experience from the moment someone walks through our doors. The owner manager is Japanese from Tokyo who is the principal reformer pilates instructor.

The Role

As our Studio Concierge, you are the heart and first impression of our studio. You are calm under pressure, impeccably organised, genuinely warm, and able to make every person feel seen and valued, whether it’s their first class or their 500th.

This is not a traditional “receptionist” role. You will run the entire front-of-house experience single-handedly during your shift, create meaningful connections with our international community, and actively contribute to the growth and energy of the studio.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver a luxury, thoughtful, and welcoming experience to every client from arrival to departure
• Manage all bookings, waitlists, cancellations, and schedule optimisation using Mindbody (or similar) with precision and foresight
• Confidently and warmly introduce new clients to the studio, our method, and our community
• Handle retail sales, membership enquiries, and introductory offers with natural sales confidence
• Keep the studio immaculate, beautifully presented, and fully stocked at all times
• Open and close the studio independently, ensuring everything runs smoothly when working solo
• Actively nurture our community through social media engagement, events, and personal follow-ups
• Resolve any issues or concerns promptly, professionally, and with genuine care

Who You Are

• Fresh Graduate from university is welcome
• Ideally minimum 1-2 years of experience in a client-facing, premium hospitality, fitness, or wellness environment (high-end gym, boutique fitness studio, luxury hotel/spa front desk, or private members’ club strongly preferred)
• Proven experience working with a highly international clientele and comfortable being the sole English-speaking point of contact for members from every corner of the world
• Naturally personable, confident, and structured – you thrive when everything runs like clockwork, yet you’re warm and approachable
• Passionate about Pilates, fitness, and wellness – you live the lifestyle (current Pilates practice is a big plus)
• Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages are a bonus
• Tech-savvy and detail-obsessed (Mindbody/WellnessLiving experience ideal)
• Comfortable and confident working alone for full shifts
• A community builder – you love bringing people together and making everyone feel like they belong

Schedule

Mixture of early mornings, evenings, and weekends (solo shifts common). Flexibility is essential.
