Job summary

A leading mining company in Jambi seeks an experienced Coal Mining Manager to oversee coal quality management and ensure safe operations. Job description
Job Responsibilities
  • Designing coal quality management and control to achieve minimum penalty load parameters in accordance with the penalty targets set by management.
  • Ensuring that the mining process is carried out according to the Engineering design and is carried out safely and without accidents.
  • Planning, leading, and coordinating with subordinates, as well as with other departments and contractors/subcontractors, in preparation for coal delivery according to established daily targets.
  • Monitoring, controlling, and supervising supervisors/foremen to ensure that ROM operations are carried out according to SOPs and that production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
  • Controlling and coordinating with transporters/contractors and other relevant departments to ensure that hauling road tondi is suitable for use before hauling activities begin.
  • Organizing, controlling, and outlining coal quality process activities and stockpile management using the Fill-in and Fit-Out (FIFOL) system.
  • Organizing, supervising, and controlling all operational activities to support the ROM and coal quality development program related to potential penalty parameter values.
  • Organizing and drafting a coal quality management plan based on the results of coal quality analysis (ROM), and Superintendent), evaluate and predict potential penalties.
  • Support OHS policies and participate fully and consistently in all OHS activities/programs. Comply with all OHS standards, procedures, and regulations of the KIM.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in coal mining operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Strong expertise in coal quality management and penalty parameter analysis.
  • Proven leadership in managing large-scale mining operations and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • In-depth understanding of mining processes, ROM operations, and stockpile management systems (preferably FIFOL).
  • Having Certificate: POM/POU , ISMKP
  • Excellent strategic planning, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong commitment to safety culture and regulatory compliance.
  • Familiar with mining software, data analysis tools, and coal quality monitoring systems.
