Job Overview

As our Merchandise Manager, you will develop and execute merchandising strategies that align with Torch’s brand vision, target market, and business goals. From selecting and sourcing bags, apparel, and accessories to crafting data-driven product assortments and pricing strategies, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Torch’s product offerings and driving profitability.

Job Role

• Develop and implement a comprehensive merchandising strategy that aligns with the brand's vision, goals, and target market.
• Select and source fashion products, including bags, apparel, accessories, etc, to build a balanced and attractive product assortment.
• Stay up-to-date with fashion trends and consumer preferences to make informed buying decisions.
• Create well-balanced assortments by category, style, size, and color to cater to customer needs and preferences.
• Monitor sales performance and inventory turnover and adjust strategies accordingly. Use data and analytics to make informed decisions.
• Determine pricing strategies for different products, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining profitability.
• Develop and manage the merchandising budget, including cost negotiation with suppliers and vendors.
• Lead and manage a team of merchandisers, buyers, and planners, providing guidance, setting goals, and nurturing talent.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certifications can be advantageous.
• Min. 5 years of experience in LEADING merchandising team in a fashion retail industry, including a proven track record of successful merchandising strategies.
• Fluent in Mandarin is a plus.
• Strong understanding of fashion trends, consumer behavior, and the fashion retail industry.
• Excellent research, analytical and quantitative skills to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
• Leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to lead a merchandising team effectively.
• Creativity and a keen eye for fashion and style trends.
