Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer - Equipment Engineering is responsible for providing initial support to production workers, assisting in equipment installation and process enhancements, implementing design changes, optimizing production efficiency, maintaining safety standards, and documenting maintenance records to ensure smooth manufacturing operations. The role serves as an entry-level engineer, offering initial first-line support to production workers and operators. The role assists in executing work instructions and adheres to quality standards, safety, regulatory, and legal requirements. The role supports equipment installation and helps during the ramp-up phase for specific processes, ensuring smooth integration.

Your role:

  • Acts as an entry level engineer and provides initial first line support and assistance to production workers and operators as the primary point of contact in resolving manufacturing-related issues, works under direct supervision and ensures smooth operations on the production floor.
  • Assists in executing work instructions and adheres to embedded quality standards, including compliance with safety, regulatory, environmental, and legal requirements, as well as company General Business principles and other relevant policies.
  • Supports execution of equipment installation and provides basic help during the ramp-up phase for specific processes at the site, ensuring smooth integration and operation of machinery to facilitate efficient production.
  • Assists in the implementation of basic design changes, ensuring the seamless integration of Life Cycle Management (LCM) design modifications within the site's manufacturing processes, contributing to the continuous improvement and optimization of our production operations.
  • Assists in implementing basic enhancements in manufacturing processes, tools, and equipment to drive quality and efficiency improvements, and monitors the performance of processes, tools, and equipment following project handover.
  • Applies lean manufacturing principles, employing methodologies to streamline production processes, minimize waste, optimize resource utilization, and enhance overall efficiency within the manufacturing environment.
  • Conducts safe processes in compliance with both local and federal regulations and promptly addresses any observed safety concerns across all operational areas by taking appropriate corrective actions to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Assists in documenting Device History Records (eDHR) and maintains a comprehensive revision history for maintenance, ensuring accurate and thorough records are maintained throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Measures tool and equipment calibrations, keeps detailed records of issues for troubleshooting documentation, and executes Field Modification Instructions (FMIs) on products as needed to ensure adherence to quality standards and enhance operational efficiency.

You're the right fit if you have :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • Must have at least 3+ years' experience in design and setting up new equipment or machine for manufacturing process
  • Hands on PLC Control, PLC Programming both using structure text and ladder diagram
  • Experience with multiple axis Robotic Arm programming will be a plus
  • Must know how to read/write Electrical flow chart and schematic diagram (Mechatronics/Electrical)
  • Must know how to use 2D/3D CAD/CAM software. Preferably SolidWorks (Mechatronics/Mechanical)
  • English competency is a must

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
