A leading global pulp and paper manufacturer in Karawang, Indonesia is seeking a Power Plant Manager to oversee all plant operations and ensure efficient performance of the coal-fired power plant. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, possess over 15 years of experience in power plant operations, with significant managerial experience. This role emphasizes compliance with EHS standards, and strong leadership skills are essential.
Lead, plan, and coordinate all plant operations, including boiler, turbine, water treatment, ash handling, and auxiliary systems.
Ensure reliable, safe, and efficient operation of the coal-fired power plant to meet mill energy demands.
Monitor plant performance indicators, analyze operational data, and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement.
Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs in collaboration with the maintenance team.
Manage fuel inventory, consumption reporting, and optimize coal usage efficiency.
Ensure full compliance with EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) and government regulations.
Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team to enhance technical competence and teamwork.
Prepare and manage operational budgets, cost analysis, and performance reports.
Coordinate with production, engineering, and utility departments to align plant output with mill requirements.
Support strategic initiatives to improve sustainability, energy efficiency, and emission reduction.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Power Plant, or Energy Engineering (Master’s preferred).
Minimum 15 years of experience in power plant operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
Proven experience managing coal-fired power plants with strong understanding of boiler, turbine, MCC, PLC, and DCS systems.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Solid knowledge of Indonesian power plant regulations, EHS standards, and reporting requirements.
Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
Willing to be based full-time at Karawang
