The Press Operator is an essential member of the team, responsible for the manufacturing of printed labels while continuously monitoring label quality and press conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all plant and corporate safety rules, procedures, and guidelines.
• Report all safety concerns or issues to their immediate supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by completing daily housekeeping assignments.
• Complete make-ready according to the Job Ticket and Product Specification documents, ensuring correct print cylinders, inks, substrates, tooling, and anilox rollers are used.
• Perform all required quality checks related to product specifications, visual, and functional checks, including press-side quality checks.
• Operate press to produce products according to customer specifications while maintaining quality, minimizing waste, and ensuring press efficiency.
• Maintain consistent quality during production, including critical checks like copy, color, registration, and ink adhesion, and ensure conformance to all other quality standards.
• Complete all procedures, work instructions, and quality measurements as outlined in the BRC standard.
• Efficiently complete press make-ready processes.
• Perform all required equipment maintenance duties.
• Clean plates, cylinders, and ink pans, and lubricate the press as needed.
• Input all required information into the GlobeTeksystem accurately and promptly for material usage and time tracking.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience and/or training as a printing press operator.
• Physical demands include standing, feeling and touching with hands, reaching with arms and hands, talking, and hearing.
• Frequent walking required.
• Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Ability to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
