Job Description
- Provide legal advice on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal and transactional documents, including contracts for shipbuilding, conversion, repair, recycling, and fabrication, as well as joint ventures, leases, and vendor agreements.
- Advise on regulatory and compliance issues, including anti-corruption, environmental, permits, and licences.
- Manage applications and renewals of permits and licences.
- Coordinate with corporate secretarial teams on governance matters (board papers, resolutions, etc.).
- Liaise with government authorities and manage external legal counsel when required.
The Successful Applicant
Requirements:
- Law degree from a reputable university with 8-12 years PQE.
- Licensed to practise law in Indonesia.
- Experience across shipyards, maritime, engineering, procurement, fabrication, tax, employment, real estate, IP, commercial, and corporate law.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, permits, and licensing.
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia (spoken and written).
- Independent, self-driven professional; overseas exposure is an advantage.
