Job Description
  • Provide legal advice on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal and transactional documents, including contracts for shipbuilding, conversion, repair, recycling, and fabrication, as well as joint ventures, leases, and vendor agreements.
  • Advise on regulatory and compliance issues, including anti-corruption, environmental, permits, and licences.
  • Manage applications and renewals of permits and licences.
  • Coordinate with corporate secretarial teams on governance matters (board papers, resolutions, etc.).
  • Liaise with government authorities and manage external legal counsel when required.
The Successful Applicant

Requirements:

  • Law degree from a reputable university with 8-12 years PQE.
  • Licensed to practise law in Indonesia.
  • Experience across shipyards, maritime, engineering, procurement, fabrication, tax, employment, real estate, IP, commercial, and corporate law.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, permits, and licensing.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia (spoken and written).
  • Independent, self-driven professional; overseas exposure is an advantage.
