Job description
Role Overview

We’re looking for an IT Project Manager who can run retail technology projects with clockwork precision. The role demands mastery of development timelines, sprint planning, and release management—ensuring that every build, test, and deployment lands exactly when it should.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project & Development Delivery – Drive end-to-end project delivery with a strong focus on development schedules, milestone tracking, and on time releases.
  • Manage project plans covering requirements, design, development, QA, UAT, and deployment phases.
  • Establish and manage sprint calendars, backlog grooming, iteration goals, and dev capacity planning.
  • Break down requirements into clear, actionable dev tasks with realistic estimates and dependencies.
  • Monitor development progress daily/weekly, identify slippages early, and execute recovery plans.
  • Run structured stand‑ups, sprint reviews, and retros to keep teams aligned and velocity stable.
  • Ensure all change requests are evaluated for timeline impact before approval.
Cross‑Functional Coordination
  • Own the release calendar—coordinating cutovers, downtime windows, store rollouts, and integration checks.
  • Manage vendor teams and ensure their development schedules align with internal timelines.
Quality & Governance
  • Oversee SIT, UAT, regression cycles, and readiness gates before deployment.
  • Ensure all documentation (requirements, technical specs, test cases, release notes) is up-to-date and audit‑ready.
  • Track KPIs such as sprint velocity, defect leakage, schedule variance, and on‑time delivery rate.
Required Skills & Experience
  • IT Project Management with strong hands‑on experience managing development timelines and sprint cycles.
  • Retail technology background (POS, ERP, WMS, OMS, loyalty, store mobility, e‑commerce) is mandatory.
  • Strong grasp of SDLC, Agile/Hybrid models, dev‑QA workflows, and release orchestration.
  • Expertise in project planning tools (Jira, Taiga, MS Project, or similar).
  • Proven success in delivering multi‑team, multi‑dependency projects on schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP / Agile / Scrum Master certifications.
  • Experience coordinating offshore/onshore dev teams.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and microservices‑based retail systems.
