Indonesian Language Manager - Language Management Center

Responsibilities

Our Language Management Center (LMC) offers a wide range of translation and localization services to all functional teams within the company, including Global Business Solutions and Global Monetization Product and Technology. The team’s working scope includes written content featured on the TikTok for Business official website, external communication materials, sponsorship plans, marketing solutions, training decks, and articles posted on our Knowledge Center.

  1. Create, transcreate, translate, and edit highly visible marketing, product, advertising, and legal content.
  2. Proofread translations delivered by LSPs to ensure quality and adaptation to local markets.
  3. Organize training and feedback sessions for translators from LSPs to give them clear and concise language-specific guidelines.
  4. Answer and maintain queries from LSPs.
  5. Define and maintain linguistic standards such as the Indonesian localization style guide, terminology database, and specific localization instructions.
  6. Lead language quality improvement (QI) initiatives with other cross‑functional teams.
  7. Liaise with marketing, product, content control, and sales teams to understand their specific requirements and quality expectations.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Fluent in Indonesian and English; BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience is required.
  2. 5+ years of experience in localization, journalism, copy editing, content creation, or online marketing.
  3. Strong syntactic and semantic skills to confidently make critical decisions related to translation.
  4. Detail‑oriented with the ability to balance and manage multiple tasks.
  5. Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  6. Familiarity with computer‑aided translation tools such as Trados Studio, XTM Cloud, SmartCat.
  7. Knowledge of localization processes is a must.

Preferred Qualificationsb>

  1. Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams is preferred.
  2. Solid experience in translation within the fields of marketing, legal, and advertising is preferred.
