Job description

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on HR Manager to establish and manage a compliant, practical, and disciplined HR system for a 50+ staff boutique hospitality operation.

This is a foundational role, focused on building HR structures from the ground up, ensuring full compliance with Indonesian labor regulations, and providing pragmatic HR advisory support to management.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement the full HR operational framework prior to opening
  • Develop HR SOPs, policies, and standardized HR documentation
  • Establish onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Handle statutory registrations and compliance, including:
    • Manpower Office registrations
    • Company regulations approval
    • Mandatory employment reporting
  • Oversee attendance, payroll validation, and statutory compliance
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
  • Advise management on employee relations, disciplinary actions, and labor risks
  • Support workforce planning, salary structure, and benefits review
  • Provide guidance on labor law updates and Foreign worker requirements
Requirements
  • Indonesian citizen
  • English is a must (spoken & written)
  • Able to start immediately
  • Minimum 5 years of HR experience, preferably in hospitality or service industries
  • Proven experience in pre-opening HR setup or building HR systems from zero
  • Strong knowledge of Indonesian labor law, BPJS, payroll, and compliance
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Detail-oriented, structured, discreet, and pragmatic in handling people matters

Working Arrangement

Contract-based (6 or 12 months, with potential extension based on performance)
