About the Role

As the Heavy Equipment Manager at JL Group, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the effective management and maintenance of the company's heavy equipment fleet. Located Dili, Timor-Leste, this full-time position will see you responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of the fleet, while also implementing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Manage and coordinate the maintenance, repair, and servicing of the company's heavy equipment fleet
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to maximise the lifespan and performance of equipment
  • Monitor equipment usage and identify opportunities for optimisation and cost savings
  • Oversee the procurement of new equipment and the disposal of old/obsolete items
  • Ensure all heavy equipment is operated in compliance with relevant safety regulations and standards
  • Liaise with operators, mechanics, and others to address equipment‑related issues
  • Prepare and analyse fleet performance reports for Top management
  • Manage a team of equipment operators and technicians, providing guidance and support as needed
