Job Description
1. Manufacturing Operations
- Execute operating plans and initiatives that support the company strategic goals.
- Ensure manufacturing capabilities and operational efficiency meet customer expectations for cost, quality, and responsiveness, while complying with the Group and industry standards.
- Work closely with manufacturing and process engineering teams to develop efficient and scalable production methods for power cable products.
- Improve manufacturing processes to boost productivity, reduce waste, and maintain consistent product quality.
- Prepare and manage budgets focused on production costs, manpower, investments, and their impact on profit margins.
- Implement effective controls to reduce commercial risk and maximize utilisation of financial, equipment, facility, manpower, material, and asset resources.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, industry standards, and quality control requirements.
- Provide recommendations for equipment selection and optimisation to support power cable production.
2. Quality Assurance
- Partner with the QA team to perform thorough testing and evaluation of prototypes and production samples.
- Ensure all products meet industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
3. Managerial / Leadership
- Set, monitor, and review operational KPIs, and resolve issues affecting quality or profitability.
- Foster a corporate culture aligned with the Group Corporate Commitment and Philosophy, as well as Mission, while ensuring staff comply with EHS and QMS requirements.
- Provide input for annual budgeting, including staff expenses, operational costs, and capital expenditures, and ensure operations run within approved budgets.
- Oversee daily operational performance.
- Assess individual team performance and provide coaching, feedback, development goals, and training opportunities.
- Lead the team by setting clear direction, establishing goals, and promoting a collaborative work environment.
- Encourage continuous improvement by promoting learning, constructive feedback, and proactive problem‑solving to enhance processes, tools, and team dynamics.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Head of Operations should have:
- A strong educational background in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
- A strong track record in the power cable industry, and solid manufacturing skillset.
- Solid leadership / managerial experience.
