About The Opportunity

As the General Accountant, you will look after tax, reporting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable process. This role will be part of Group Finance Shared Service and Flight Centre and support the organization to grow and achieve the strategy.

Job Specifications

• Tax Management
• Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (corporate income tax, VAT, PIT, etc.).
• Manage tax audits and liaise with external tax advisors and authorities.
• Maintain up-to-date tax records and documentation.
• Financial Reporting
• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management.
• Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of accounts.
• Invoicing Process
• Daily mailbox and payment request monitor for other expenses.
• Check invoices/supporting documents ensure that all are under appropriate approvals.
• Post invoices in Tour plan system under the correct Tour-plan account.
• Reporting process
• Cashflow forecast.
• Prepare monthly Aging report and explain on overdue aging.

The Essentials

• Minimum qualification of a Diploma in finance.
• Minimum of two years’ experience Accounting, business administration or finance shared services.
• Fluent in written and verbal in both national language and English.
• Intermediate Excel Skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and Tourplan experience would be an advantage.
