Overview
The Finance Director is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the organization. This role plays a critical part in shaping the financial strategy, ensuring sound financial management, and driving growth through strategic planning, corporate structuring, and financial operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning to support business growth.
- Provide insights into business performance and trends to support key decision-making.
- Oversee all aspects of the accounting function, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
- Ensure that financial statements comply with Indonesian and international financial regulations and standards.
- Oversee the corporate structure and governance, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory compliance.
- Have a strong understanding of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).
- Business partner with key executives including efficiency improvement, center expansion, pricing.
- Manage cashflow and working capital to support the organizations’ growth.
- Ensure compliance with internal group control policies and financial regulations.
- Responsible for managing tax compliance and tax optimization.
- Manage relationships with key financial partners including banks, auditor, tax consultant.
- Actively grow the finance team and ensure the team is adequately trained.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; an MBA or professional certification (such as CPA, CFA) is highly preferred.
- Over 15 years of progressive experience, with proven expertise in a senior financial leadership role within multinational companies.
- Experience in the education sector is highly advantageous or passionate about education sector.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent analytical and forecasting abilities, and able to be hands-on.
- Experience with financial systems and tools, including ERP and BI systems.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proficient in both spoken and written English.
