Job Duties
  • Under strict supervision, provides on-site supervision of the Measurement-While Drilling (MWD)/Logging-While Drilling (LWD) and Directional Drilling (DD) processes, including tool preparations, data acquisition, and delivery of the services to the customer.
  • This is the entry level position for the Field Service Specialist job family.
  • Responsibilities are to learn the job role for the product service lines and the processes, tools, software, and equipment used in service delivery, including but not limited to: maintaining equipment inventory, supervising movement of equipment to and from well site, checking equipment and tools, advising on repair requirements, and maintaining the computer drilling database for on-going jobs.
  • Provides technical and operational consulting to external customers.
  • Performs assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering and MWD/DD principles.
  • Skill acquired through completion of the basic M/LWD and DD training programs.
  • Requires completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • An undergraduate degree in a STEM discipline is preferred.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain relevant on and offshore safety certificates.
