About the Team: Our Southeast Asia communications team plays an integral role in TikTok's global storytelling and forms an essential part of a connected and growing team in the global communications function. We are looking for an outstanding Senior Communications Manager to join us and help make an impact on our brand and our business. This role is based in Jakarta.

  • Develop strategy and execution for product communications in Indonesia to support the brand development and reputation management of TikTok and for other ByteDance products.
  • Develop proactive approaches, across external channels, that showcase our brand, our positive impact on the community as well as educate our partners and policymakers on issues important to TikTok and our community.
  • Collaborate closely with the Global Communications team and cross-functional stakeholders to develop and implement a range of proactive communications campaigns and relevant local narratives, from key partnerships, product, safety and brand announcements to evergreen story opportunities.
  • Cultivate strong media relationships to land stories, advance our brand narratives and reach key audiences.

Engage partners, third parties, and other KOLs to build credibility and advocacy for the brand.

  • Develop proactive and reactive communications around local issues in Indonesia.
  • Be a strategic partner and counsel for all functions in advancing business objectives.
  • Prepare spokespeople for media interviews, regulatory meetings, and public appearances.
  • Manage and work with our local PR agency to ensure quality execution and meaningful evaluation to further improve strategic communications plans and programs, including budget and target tracking.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in Communications, or Public Relations, or related fields.
  • Understanding and passion for technology product.
  • Strong communicator with professional fluency, both verbal and written, in English and Indonesian languages as this role will need to communicate in both languages with internal stakeholders and external media partners, as well as provide written documentation, such as press releases.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in the field of PR/Communications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Tech industry experience preferred, and experience working in matrixed environments.
  • Works well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Candidates with prior communications agency experience.
