Commercial Director at Status Pro Sport Indonesia

Status Pro Sport is a one-stop football marketing agency for professional football players, trainers, and supporting professionals. Our team consists of former players, experienced entrepreneurs, and fully dedicated professionals to support our clients through their entire journey. We represent our clients' interests to help them achieve maximum results, both athletic and in business. Our head office is located in the Netherlands, where we have been operating for over 10 years. Since 2020, we also work from Indonesia.

As Commercial Director, you will be responsible for owning and driving revenue growth in Indonesia and the wider Southeast Asia region. This is a sales leadership role, focused on deal-making, partnerships, and commercial execution including brand positioning and conceptual strategy.

You will build, lead, and manage the local commercial team, drive sales performance, and convert opportunities into measurable revenue. This role succeeds by execution, pipeline discipline, and closing deals, supported by a strong operational foundation.

Key responsibilities
  • Own and drive commercial revenue performance for Status Pro Sport in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
  • Lead all sales and partnership activities, from opportunity identification to negotiation and deal closure.
  • Build, manage, and develop the local commercial and sales team to achieve revenue targets.
  • Establish clear sales targets, pipelines, KPIs, and performance tracking for all commercial activities.
  • Drive commercial opportunities across athlete representation, sponsorships, endorsements, partnerships, and sports marketing services.
  • Develop and execute practical go‑to‑market and sales plans aligned with company objectives.
  • Actively engage in high‑value negotiations with clubs, brands, federations, leagues, and corporate partners.
  • Maintain and expand a strong commercial network within football, sports, and relevant industries in the region.
  • Work closely with the Country Manager and Operations team to ensure deals are executable and delivered effectively.
  • Ensure commercial proposals, contracts, and pricing structures are commercially sound and realistic.
  • Monitor sales performance, revenue forecasts, and deal pipelines, reporting progress regularly to leadership.
  • Represent the company in commercial meetings, pitches, and negotiations at local and regional levels.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 8‑10 years of experience in sales leadership, commercial management, or business development roles, preferably within sports, agency, media, or partnership‑driven environments.
  • Proven track record of closing deals and delivering consistent revenue growth. • Experience building and leading sales or commercial teams.
  • Strong negotiation skills with experience handling high‑value partnerships and contracts.
  • Deep understanding of revenue models in sports, athlete representation, sponsorships, and partnerships.
  • Highly execution‑driven mindset with strong pipeline and performance discipline.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to operate in fast‑paced, target‑driven environments.
  • Strong commercial judgment with realistic, results‑oriented decision making.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
