Overview

The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for generating qualified leads and developing new business opportunities for the company. This role is part of the Sales team and works closely with Sales Managers, and the Marketing team. The BDR is expected to be actively involved in both online and offline activities, including events, exhibitions, conferences, and networking sessions, to expand the lead pipeline and strengthen market presence.

This position requires an energetic, proactive, and detail-oriented individual who can execute lead generation initiatives consistently while ensuring every opportunity is properly tracked and followed up.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new potential customers through various channels, including outbound outreach, inbound leads, and event-based activities.
  • Actively participate in and attend events such as exhibitions, conferences, workshops, and networking sessions to generate new leads and build brand awareness.
  • Conduct initial outreach and conversations with prospects to understand their business needs and qualify opportunities.
  • Accurately collect and document customer information to support appointment setting and follow-up processes.
  • Maintain high-quality lead data by ensuring all information is properly recorded and updated in the CRM system.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and potential clients to create long-term business opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales Managers, and Digital Marketing Managers to develop strategies that improve lead conversion across multiple channels.
  • Support smooth and structured handover of qualified leads to the Sales team.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Development Representative, Telemarketer, or in a similar role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage diverse types of clients confidently.
  • Energetic, proactive, and comfortable interacting with prospects in event and field-based environments.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess customer needs and identify business opportunities.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships with potential clients.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within the Sales team.
