About the Role
IIX is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Vice President (AVP)/Vice President (VP) to collaborate closely with the Indonesia Program Director for our flagship program in Indonesia, Impact Investment Readiness for Indonesia or IIRI. The successful candidate will combine expertise in research, sustainability, ESG, SME development, and regulatory analysis with strong program management and business development skills.
The AVP/VP will be responsible for driving research and content development, managing program execution, building partnerships, supporting fundraising, and expanding IIX’s impact in Indonesia. This role requires strategic thinking, disciplined execution, and a strong passion for inclusive finance and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Research & Market Analysis
- Conduct in-depth studies on Indonesia’s SME/MSME landscape, sustainability practices, and ESG adoption for IIRI reports for donor consultations.
- Analyze relevant regulatory and compliance frameworks to identify opportunities and challenges.
- Perform market gap analyses to inform IIX’s program design and policy engagement.
- Program Management & Execution
- Lead planning, budgeting, implementation, and reporting for IIRI in Indonesia.
- Ensure timely delivery of milestones, deliverables, and outcomes within scope and budget.
- Establish and oversee monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) systems.
- Prepare high-quality donor reports, board briefs, and program updates.
- Training & Knowledge Development
- Research and design training content on ESG, impact measurement, and sustainability.
- Localize IIX’s global methodologies and Orange principles for Indonesian SMEs and stakeholders.
- Support and facilitate capacity-building workshops and trainings across Indonesia.
- Business Development & Partnerships
- Identify, build, and manage strategic partnerships with corporates, SMEs, government, and ecosystem players.
- Contribute to fundraising and membership growth, including proposal development and donor engagement.
- Position IIX as a thought leader through collaborative programs, training, and knowledge dissemination.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Advocacy
- Represent IIX in conferences, forums, and external events in Indonesia and the region.
- Develop and publish research reports, case studies, and knowledge products.
- Facilitate cross-team collaboration with IIX’s global offices.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Note: Program Delivery: Successful execution of program milestones, delivered on time and within budget.
- Research Outputs: High-quality market studies, regulatory analyses, and knowledge products produced and disseminated.
- Training & Capacity Building: Number and quality of workshops/trainings conducted, with measurable participant impact.
- Business Development: Growth in partnerships, membership, and funding opportunities in Indonesia.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Increased visibility of IIX in Indonesia through forums, publications, and partnerships.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree (preferred) in Sustainability, Environmental Studies, Economics, Business, Public Policy, or related field.
- 8–12 years (AVP) / 12–15 years (VP) of relevant experience in program management, sustainability, ESG, research, and business development.
- Proven expertise in regulatory compliance, ESG frameworks, and sustainability practices in Indonesia.
- Demonstrated experience in fundraising, partnership building, and donor engagement.
- Strong program management track record: planning, budgeting, execution, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Bahasa Indonesia proficiency is required.
