About the role

The Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, controlling, and directing restaurant employees while ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction. He/she is also responsible for hiring, training, supervising, and disciplining staff. A leader in this role will have the ability to be visible in the restaurant operation, provide recognition, promote positive public relations, and handle concerns, or special requests from guests.


What you will do


  • Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees in the Restaurant to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met; daily activities and planning for outlet operation.

  • The ability to be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts.

  • Describe and ensure quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods, as well as provide expert knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

  • Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control.

  • Attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.

  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.


What you bring


  • 1-2 years previous experience in Assistant Manager in Food & Beverage.

  • Excellent communication and organization skills; reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language. Knowledge of other foreign languages is a plus.

  • Knowledge of service, cost control in F&B, labor controls, maintenance, merchandising and accounting.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work all types of shifts, weekends and holidays.

  • Ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems.

  • Minimum qualification of a Diploma or equivalent experience is required.
