Expand research capabilities in renewables, battery metals, transition commodities, and new energy sectors like hydrogen.
Analyze individual projects such as solar farms, mines, and infrastructure operations to deliver economic and planning insights.
Build industry and plant engineering models and catalog carbon emission data using technical papers, production data, financial metrics, surveys, and site visits.

We are seeking an expert in aluminium industry with research and communication skills and a logical approach to problem solving. This is a key role at AME to lead aluminium research and to represent AME in front of multiple clients and stakeholders.

To lead and manage AME Research aluminium research activity in Jakarta.
To oversee aluminium market from upstream to downstream activity not only from national perspective but also global perspective.
Present our aluminium research and opinion to clients and assist them with their research needs.
Present our proposals at a board level or management to assist with energy transition issues.
Support AME Jakarta office to identify talent, build capacity, develop skills and share experience.
Lead projects with multiple teams and stakeholders, developing project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies, managing project risks, and mentoring junior researchers.
Creation and maintenance of industry databases for both internal and external users.
Collaborate with internal teams in Indonesia and Australia.
Visionary leader with ability to adapt and drive performance in the dynamic coal and energy sector.
Minimum 12 (twelve) years of experience in aluminium industry (e.g., bauxite mine, aluminium smelters, alumina refineries, trading, research, consulting, or mining services).
Bachelor’s degree in mining or chemical engineering from top‑tier universities; Master’s degree will be valued.
Good written and oral communication skills with the capability to convey complex technical detail into succinct English.
A well developed network of client contacts in the Indonesian aluminium sectors (private companies, State‑owned, and/or Government).
Strong cross‑cultural management and communication with fluent English.
