Overview

Teach Indonesia School is a character-building and Biblical-based school located in North Jakarta. We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified High School/Uni Prep English (include study organization and behavioral learning) and Homeroom Teacher to join our school, who is passionate about educating youth and has experience in teaching and facilitating English language learning, study organization, and basic behavioral studies for Senior High School students.

Responsibilities

• Attend class as homeroom teacher and teach Uni Prep English and relevant academic skills to senior high school students.
• Develop effective lesson plans and engaging learning activities.
• Motivate students academically and non-academically, and help develop soft and hard skills.
• Evaluate student progress and provide feedback to students and parents as appropriate.
• Manage students and classroom, maintain classroom discipline, and create a positive learning environment.
• Involve and contribute to school events and school-wide activities.

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum Bachelor\'s degree in English, Education, Management or a related/relevant field.
• Experience: At least two years of experience teaching high school students (grades 9-12) and English as a second language; experience with diverse backgrounds; familiarity with international curricula/materials such as GAC (Global Assessment Certificate), ACE (SOT), Cambridge or IB is preferred.
• Knowledge: Proficient understanding of English language and literature for speaking, listening, reading and writing; strong knowledge of English language arts including grammar, vocabulary, speech/public speaking, journals, academic reports and research; familiarity with study organization and behavioral learning; knowledge of teaching-learning tools and devices.
• Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to create engaging lessons; effective classroom management; innovative teaching methods; and ability to assess student progress. Proficiency with technology and educational software (e.g., G Suite, multimedia tools, online learning platforms) is desirable.
• Classroom Management: Ability to manage a classroom of high school students effectively, maintaining discipline and a conducive learning environment.
• Personal Qualities: Passion for education, positive attitude, high integrity, willingness to learn and grow, dedication to student success.
• Professionalism: Professional demeanor, strong work ethics, collaboration with colleagues, participation in professional development, and alignment with the school\'s vision, mission and values.
