We’re looking for experienced Accountants who thrive on precision, analysis, and guiding others to get it right the first time.

Job Highlights

• Apply accounting principles to reconcile and finalise monthly and annual accounts.
• Perform in-depth analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance in financial statements.
• Coach junior accountants on applying the correct accounting principles and correct accounting treatments.
• Identify and correct misallocated account codes, accruals, and prepayments through proper journal entries.
• Deliver accurate, reliable financial statements that clients can trust for business decisions.

What You’ll Do

• Review & Analyse – Examine draft Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet statements prepared by bookkeepers, spotting inconsistencies and ensuring accuracy.
• Reconcile with Precision – Verify every account code, ensuring all business transactions are correctly allocated and complete.
• Correct & Adjust – Fix errors in coding, post accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and other necessary adjustments.
• Communicate with Clients – Request missing documents, contracts, loan schedules, tenancy agreements, and hire purchase agreements.
• Secure Approvals – Get sign-off on trade debtor and payable ageing reports, and validate inter-company balances.
• Manage Assets – Keep the fixed asset register updated with acquisitions and disposals.
• Provide Support Files – Prepare detailed Excel schedules using data from Xero accounting software.

What We’re looking for

• Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar accounting role, preferably in the audit firm.
• Proficient in Teamwork, Microsoft Office, and cloud-based software.
• Keen on IT technology to improve work efficiency and performance.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Knowledge of relevant accounting standards and regulations
