Job Title: Software Engineer / Developer (Java 17, Kotlin, AWS) - London / WFH to £85k

We are a successful and growing commodities trading firm specializing in whiskey trading.

As a Software Engineer, you will collaborate with the Lead Engineer on the whiskey trading platform, focusing on scaling and adding new features. The role emphasizes code quality and involves designing and developing complex web-based trading platforms across the full development lifecycle.

The technology stack includes Java 17, Kotlin, Spring Boot, and AWS. You will have opportunities to expand your skills using the latest technologies in a friendly Agile team environment.

WFH Policy: Flexibility to work from home twice a week in Central London.

About You:

• Degree educated, 2.1 or above in Computer Science or a similar STEM discipline from a top-tier university (e.g., Russell Group)
• Strong experience with Java and Kotlin development
• Experience with Agile processes and TDD
• Solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals such as OOP, Design Patterns, Data Structures, Algorithms
• Exposure to technologies like Scala, React, Spring, Oracle, Redis, Kubernetes, Docker, Linux is beneficial
• Collaborative mindset with good communication skills
