Job summary

A European contractor is seeking a Building Surveyor to join their new office in London. This position offers flexibility for remote work until the setup of the office, which will provide a hybrid work environment. The ideal candidate will have project experience in the retail and commercial sectors, along with RICS accreditation. Spanish speaking is advantageous. A great opportunity to shape the office environment and partake in some travel is included.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Building Surveyor with expectations in the retail and commercial sectors.
• RICS accredited, preferably.
• Spanish speaking is highly beneficial but not essential.

Location: London
Salary: £60k - £80k
My client is a European contractor in the retail space reopening a London office due to an increased pipeline of work in the UK. This will be the first hire in the UK for this new location with a view of increasing to 3 in the next 6 months. Alongside the exciting role & travel opportunities it will be an opportunity to build the office around you should you wish to be part of the management team.

Responsibilities

• Experience as a building surveyor with project experience within the retail and commercial sector from a tenants perspective.
• Undertake site visits and reports.
• Assist in planning applications.
• Liaise with the larger team at HO in Spain and potentially assist on other projects in Europe whilst the UK work pipeline increases.

Qualifications

• RICS accredited (highly advantageous).
• Spanish speaking (highly advantageous but not essential).

Opportunities

Initially a remote role until a firm office is set up in central London (likely London Bridge, tbc). When the office opens this will be a flexible space offering hybrid working and meeting spaces when required and when SMT are in the UK.
