To support this growth, we are seeking a Principal Airport Planner to join our team. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver aviation services to airport owners/operators, airlines, and transportation agencies globally. Our aviation specialists provide fully integrated services and have the technical skills to handle a wide range of aviation projects, including local, national, and international developments.
We are open to locations across Manchester, London, Basingstoke, or Croydon, with a hybrid working pattern. Here's what you'll do:
- Report to the Aviation Advisory Team leader and collaborate with team members across all levels, from graduates to Directors, as well as with global design teams.
- Lead and contribute to projects such as airport masterplans, facility planning, capacity and demand analysis, and simulation modelling for domestic and international projects.
- Manage projects, build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders internally and externally.
- Prepare proposals and support bid development for projects of varying sizes.
- Support the technical development of junior team members.
- Be willing to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

- Delhi Airport Master Plan
- Brussels Airport Master Plan
- London Luton Airport Limit (LLAL) Masterplanning and DCO application
- Southend Airport Feasibility Planning
- Leeds Bradford Airport Planning
- Guernsey Masterplan
- Alderney Airport development
- Masterplanning for three Indian airports
- Extensive work for UK Military projects
Qualifications and experience required:
- Degree in aviation, planning, or civil engineering
- Chartered or near-chartered membership of a professional institution
- Experience in airport capacity assessment and familiarity with ICAO and IATA standards
- Proficiency in modelling software such as CAST, AviPlan, and AirTOP
- Experience with AutoCAD, ideally Civil 3D
- Strong communication and project management skills, with client-facing experience
