Job description

The Planet Group have recently been engaged by a market leader in the Aerospace industry who are looking for a Production & Demand Planner to join the team on an initial 6-12 month contract.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring inventory - stock level and release orders on Planner Workbench accordingly.
  • Support the Operations Manager on tasks with Manufacturing site in Japan.
  • Support Procurement Manager on Suppliers and Purchase Order tasks.
  • Track and drive production orders to ensure OTD to end customers.
  • Release production job orders to support UK Production start dates as well as validating that all parts were allocated correctly to the given job orders.
  • Ensure job orders are corrected in a timely manner each week to minimise aging work orders.
  • Facilitate expedited material of critical part shortages to released work orders.
  • Liaison to Stores to unsure understanding of daily ship schedules.
  • Liaison between Operations Manager, Procurement Manager and Production Team
  • Support inventory cycle counting, reduction, accuracy initiatives as required.
  • Support with Forecast activities.
  • Relevant and current experience on ERP Cloudsuite
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Requirements:
  • A primary function of the role is to use the ERP Cloud suite knowledge and experience of this system would be a requisite for the role.
  • Ability to achieve baseline security clearance.
  • Available at short notice latest January 2026.
