Job summary
A regional police force in England seeks a Contingency, Operations & Events Planner responsible for supporting operational and emergency planning. The role includes coordinating with stakeholders, managing operational threats, and maintaining an event calendar for effective resource planning. Ideal candidates will have experience in operational planning, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively. This position plays a crucial part in ensuring the safety and efficiency of police operations.

Responsibilities
- Support the Force with operational and emergency planning.
- Coordinate with Safety Advisory Groups and stakeholders.
- Manage operational threats and maintain event calendars.
The principal responsibility of the Contingency, Operations & Events Planner is to support the Force and the community it serves by:
- Researching, co-ordinating, preparing, distributing, exercising, reviewing, and updating all key operational, business continuity and emergency planning requirements on behalf of Devon & Cornwall Police and Dorset Police.
- Work in Safety Advisory Groups with key partners and stakeholders to provide appropriate advice and ensure the efficient and effective use of police resources within core responsibilities.
- Identify and manage operational threats and risks, ensuring the appointment of appropriate command structures. Maintain a calendar of force-wide events and operations to facilitate resource demand planning.
