Location: The job is primarily based at our Leith branch at 41 St Clair Street, Edinburgh, EH6 8LB
Salary: £25,792 per annum
Hours: Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm
Benefits: Company pension, 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays), employee discount scheme, career progression.

Pentland Component Parts Ltd is a specialist in vehicle parts distribution and has a vacancy and career opportunity in the position of Warehouse Assistant.

The company is looking for a friendly and outgoing individual, ideally with previous warehousing experience, to join our team.

As a Warehouse Assistant, your duties will include all aspects of stocking and maintaining our warehouse, along with associated tasks.

As our Warehouse Assistant your main responsibilities will be as follows:

Your main branch will be as listed above, but you will be required to fill in at other branches occasionally to cover holidays etc.

Reporting to your Line Manager at the branch you are based, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting couriers to bring in parcels from their delivery vehicles.
• Signing for goods received.
• Checking off stock and putting it away neatly on shelves.
• Picking customer orders.
• Facing up shelves and moving stock when necessary.
• Periodic stock checking.
• Providing any other assistance needed to ensure the smooth running of the branch.

Requirements: The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience and will:

• Be a team player with the ability also to work independently.
• Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Be able to lift heavy items without frequent assistance.
• Be dynamic, outgoing and energetic.
• Be organised with great attention to detail.
• Be willing to learn and develop.
