Responsibilities
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and leadership team on people‑related strategies that drive operational efficiency, growth and transformation.
  • Oversee HR operations for approximately 570 employees across the UK and Ireland.
  • Develop and execute a people strategy aligned with the business vision, strategy and objectives to deepen a high‑performance culture.
  • Steward organisational design to enable effective decision‑making, focus on core priorities and ensure agility, scalability and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Partner with senior leaders to design effective organisational structures.
  • Build a culture centred on collaboration, performance and continuous development.
  • Lead all core HR activities across the employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, employee relations, engagement, performance management, capability development and payroll.
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are up‑to‑date, legally compliant and consistently applied across the company.
  • Monitor and report on key HR metrics such as headcount, turnover, absence and employee engagement.
  • Ensure full compliance with UK employment law, right‑to‑work requirements, GDPR and health & safety regulations.
  • Standardise policies, contracts and HR processes across all brands.
  • Improve hiring quality and consistency across all divisions.
  • Develop onboarding, training and leadership development frameworks.
  • Drive retention through enhanced communication, clarity and engagement initiatives.
  • Create and manage performance review cycles and progression pathways.
  • Assess and benchmark salary, benefits and bonus structures across the group.
  • Support succession planning and leadership capability development.
Qualifications & Skills
  • 8‑10 years demonstrable HR leadership experience.
  • Professional certifications such as CIPD.
  • Previous experience within a similar sector or environment is ideal.
  • Strong understanding of UK and Ireland employment law.
  • In‑depth knowledge of compensation structures, organisational design and HR compliance.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead HR strategy while effectively managing day‑to‑day operations.
  • Ability to work under pressure while balancing the needs of the organisation and the people agenda.
  • Positive attitude towards developing policies, processes and procedures.
  • Analytical and problem‑solving skills, including conflict resolution and mediation.
