An opportunity has arisen for a full time B6 Musculoskeletal specialist to join the Whipps Cross Therapies team within Barts Health Trust. The post holder will be a qualified Physiotherapist, with experience in MSK. They should be registered with the HCPC, and ideally would have also completed an Orthopaedic inpatient rotation. They should have excellent baseline knowledge of musculoskeletal physiotherapy principles and have experience of treating a variety of peripheral and spinal patients. Assessments and treatments will be through face to face and virtual appointments. Evidence of involvement in project management and audit will be desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Join the Barts Health Band 6 musculoskeletal rotations based at Whipps Cross Hospital and its community sites.
  • Work alongside different specialties including Orthopaedic, Rheumatology and Community Pain clinics.
  • Have supervisory responsibility for a Band 5 physiotherapist and students, providing appraisals, teaching and clinical support while managing demanding caseloads.
  • Perform roles linked to Band 7-line managers that facilitate managerial and leadership qualities, e.g. GP liaison, education and Musculoskeletal Audit champion.
  • Participate in an evidence‑based in‑service training program covering each joint with theoretical knowledge, practical skills and clinical implementation.
  • Engage in external courses and support the MSK physiotherapy team to deliver the best possible patient care.
Qualifications
  • Qualified Physiotherapist with experience in musculoskeletal therapy.
  • Registered with the HCPC.
  • Experience treating peripheral and spinal patients.
  • Completed an Orthopaedic inpatient rotation (preferred).
  • Evidence of project management and audit involvement (desired).
