Main duties of the job

Requirements Of The Role:

Patient Care: Assist healthcare professionals in providing high-quality care to patients. Conduct basic health checks, such as measuring vital signs and collecting patient histories.

• Clinical Support: Prepare and maintain examination rooms for patient consultations. Assist in minor medical procedures and treatments as directed by healthcare professionals.
• Administrative Duties: Record and update patient information accurately in electronic health records. Assist with appointment scheduling, prescription requests, and other administrative tasks.
• Infection Control: Adhere to strict infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe healthcare environment. Ensure compliance with hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Patient Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, providing clear instructions and information. Offer support and reassurance to patients during their healthcare visits.
• Collaboration with Healthcare Team: Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care. Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on patient care.

Abbeywell is a large GP surgery providing general practice services to a large population of patients in Romsey and the surrounding areas. We offer an experienced health care assistant role that is supported in learning and development and are looking for someone who is confident working autonomously and enjoys working within a larger nursing team. We are searching for an individual who is driven to providing innovative care to patients and strives for clinical excellence in their role.
