NHS Interim Senior Nurse – Infection Prevention & Control

Band 8a | London | Inside IR35 | Hybrid (1 day onsite)

Start: 8th December 2025 | End: 31st March 2026

Make an Immediate Impact on Infection Control Across Community Care

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) Nurse to drive meaningful change across community health and care services in London. Working closely with a passionate, tight‑knit team, you’ll be instrumental in improving safety and reducing infection risks in care homes, supported living and domiciliary settings.

The Role
  • Carry out structured remote IPC audits across a variety of care settings
  • Hybrid role going into London once a week on a Monday
  • Provide hands‑on advice, coaching and feedback to frontline providers
  • Contribute to community projects like the “Gloves Off” programme to lower infection rates
  • Support training and education to embed safer practices and stronger compliance
  • Respond to IPC queries with clarity and clinical rigor
About You

You’re a Registered Nurse (NMC) with proven IPC experience – ideally across community or system‑wide settings. You’re confident, personable, and proactive, with the ability to influence, support and assure providers. A strong communicator, you’re someone who can build trusted relationships while keeping outcomes on track.
