Job summary
A reputable insurance company in Glasgow is seeking an underwriting professional to join their Mid Market team, handling mid-market cross-class commercial cases. The role requires strong customer focus, attention to detail, and expertise in commercial underwriting. This position offers hybrid working, requiring 1 day a week in the office, and is integral to the company's long-term growth strategy.
Qualifications
- Experience in reviewing and interpreting policy documents.
- Proven expertise in complex and technical commercial underwriting.
- Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Handle mid-market cross-class commercial cases over £35k GWP.
- Manage a specialist property portfolio.
- Collaborate with the tied agency network to strengthen customer relationships.
Skills
Location: Hybrid working – 1 day a week in the Glasgow office
We are partnering with a reputable insurance company seeking a dedicated underwriting professional to join their Mid Market team. This team is responsible for handling mid-market cross-class commercial cases.
- Work with cross class commercial cases over £35k GWP
- Tackle larger, more complex renewals and manage a specialist property portfolio
- Be part of a growing area, with commercial business driving long-term opportunity
- Collaborate with our tied agency network, the vital link to our customers
- Build strong relationships, resolve complex referrals, and balance risk with service
- Play a key role in delivering the right solutions for our members
- A strong customer focus with excellent attention to detail
- Confidence in working within a regulated environment
- Ability to make sound, logical decisions in a fast-paced setting
- Experience in reviewing and interpreting policy documents
