Job summary
A leading educational organization in the UK is seeking a part-time Numeracy & Literature Tutor to provide one-on-one support to KS1/KS2 students. The role requires a creative and empathetic approach to engage vulnerable students. Ideal candidates will possess QTS or equivalent experience and a willingness to work flexibly in the community or at pupils' homes.
Qualifications
- QTS or equivalent or tutoring experience required.
- UK classroom teaching experience preferred.
- Experience working with disengaged pupils is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Provide personalized tuition in Numeracy and Literature.
- Create and deliver individual learning plans.
- Engage vulnerable and at-risk students.

Prospero teaching is currently looking for a tutor experienced in providing tuition to KS1/KS2 students, using a flexible creative and nurturing approach. You will be making a real difference to the lives of vulnerable, disengaged and at risk - students in the early years of their educational journey. The successful tutor will need to be patient, empathetic and be able to create/deliver learning plans on a 1 to 1 basis.
It is Prospero's mission to deliver high quality and engaging support to young people across the UK. As such, we are looking for a tutor who can offer personalized, enjoyable lessons whilst being re-engage these students into education and bring structure into their daily routine.

- Position - Numeracy & Literature Tutor

- Full-time/part-time - Part time
- Minimum rate of pay - 25 per hour
- Hours - Working hours can differentiate, depending on the convenient timings of the family
- QTS or equivalent or tutoring experience
- Possess UK classroom teaching experience preferred but not essential
- Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
- Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
- Hold the right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child-related references.
