Welding Tutor / Assessor
Job summary
A respected training provider in the West Midlands is seeking a Welding Tutor & Assessor to deliver high-quality training and assessment in welding. This role offers a starting salary between £28,000 - £30,000, full training, and teaching qualifications. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in welding/fabrication, coupled with a passion for developing learners. They will work in a supportive environment focused on staff development and maintaining industry standards.

As a Welding Tutor & Assessor, you will:
- Deliver high-quality practical and classroom-based welding training
- Assess learners both on-site and in the workplace
- Support learners across apprenticeships, short courses and Skills Bootcamps
- Contribute to curriculum planning and development
- Maintain industry standards and promote safe working practices
You may be:
- An experienced coded welder or fabricator looking to move into teaching (training provided), or
- A qualified tutor/assessor seeking a stable, rewarding role in a respected training environment.
- Strong industry background in welding/fabrication
- Passion for developing others
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Teaching (PTLLS/AET, DTLLS, Cert Ed)
- Assessor qualification (TAQA/ A1/ CAVA)
- £28,000 - £30,000 starting salary
- Full training & teaching qualifications supported
