A national law firm is seeking a Planning Partner to take on a critical role within their team. The firm values technical skill and cultural fit, and is flexible on location and working arrangements. This position is suitable for candidates at all levels of their partnership career, especially those with expertise in TCPA, highways, and commercial development. Successful candidates will also engage in business development while working on significant energy and infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to be involved in a progressive firm with a strong client base.
We have recently been instructed on a new partner-level planning role within our national firm client.
Most likely this will suit those with a broad range of planning expertise from across TCPA, s.106, CPOs, highways and commercial development. But there is some larger scale, long-term infrastructure and energy work and the firm is on some excellent panels (Water, Transport, Energy and Housing amongst others – private and public sector).
Working alongside a significant real estate team with a busy development client base you can be assured a consistent flow of internally referred work. As such, at more junior levels of partnership, this team are going to place a great emphasis on your technical skill and cultural fit than business and following – but the firm will need to know you have an entrepreneurial approach to marketing and business-building, however nascent. More senior lawyers should expect to bring some strong relationships with them.
This is a role that could suit someone at any stage of their partnership career and wanting to be in a firm where the built environment, energy and infrastructure are front and centre, rather than an afterthought.
The firm has had a good year, this team in particular, and makes good use of a wide national network, legal tech and slick processes to price work and develop clients. You could be based at any of their main offices throughout the UK.
