Job description

We are recruiting for a Project Manager (OLE) to join us here at Octavius.

We are a leading civil engineering organisation delivering safe, sustainable, and efficient transport solutions across the UK. This role will specifically be to work on an exciting 2.5 year rail systems / E&P project based out of Bushey in Hertfordshire. This is an OLE driven role so strong experience and knowledge in this area would be advantageous.

You’ll be working on…. (what your role and responsibility is)

  • Overseeing the day-to-day running of works and change over from day to night shift during the main construction works circa Apr 26 - Apr 28.
  • Responsible for leading a team of site managers / supervisors.
  • Ensuring the management of works is set up correctly prior to construction commencement.
  • Producingdevelopment budgets, planning and undertaking site investigations, managing the design process (both permanent and temporary works), coordinating suitable construction methodologies, securing necessary consents, and managing the production of the construction estimate.
  • Working closely with our customers, stakeholders, primary design partner, other designers, supplier partners, and internal delivery teams to develop high-quality solutions. These solutions should meet customer expectations, align with financial targets, and be delivered in accordance with agreed programmes.

About you…. (what you are skilled at)
  • Proven experience of delivering projects across the whole project life-cycle (design & on-site construction).
  • Knowledge of Network Rail processes and assurance procedures. Experienced at working within a Rail environment.
  • Engineering knowledge with relevant experience in OLE.
  • Good level of NEC3 knowledge, and ability to administer the contract
You’ll bring… (your wealth of experience & qualifications)
  • A related degree, diploma, or vocational qualification, or equivalent demonstrable experience in Construction or Civil Engineering.
  • Site Managers Safety Training Scheme, or equivalent CDM 2015 training (desirable)
  • Chartered membership with a relevant industry body (i.e. APM or ICE) (desirable)
  • Personal Track Safety (desirable)
  • Temporary Works Coordination (desirable)
