Job summary
A local government agency in England is seeking an Asset Management Analyst (Energy) for a temporary 12-month role. You will manage EPC consultants, analyse housing stock for improvements, and maintain data integrity in the asset management system. Familiarity with regulations and excellent analytical skills are essential. The ideal candidate will have experience in asset management and be proficient in data reporting tools. This position supports the Council’s housing strategy and energy performance planning.

One of my local government clients is recruiting an Asset Management Analyst (Energy) for a 12‑month temporary assignment. This key role supports the Council’s housing asset management strategy, focusing on energy performance, compliance, and long‑term investment planning.
Harlow is a well‑connected and thriving district, offering excellent amenities, strong transport routes, and direct access to London and Stansted Airport.
- Manage EPC consultants to ensure the housing portfolio meets minimum energy efficiency standards.
- Analyse the housing stock to evaluate asset performance and identify investment opportunities that improve the quality and standard of council properties.
- Maintain accurate and reliable data within the Council’s asset management system, MRI Asset.
- Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for senior management.
- Validate and interpret EPC/SAP outputs for asset management and compliance purposes.
- Identify gaps, trends, and opportunities to drive improvements in energy performance across the housing stock.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Power BI or equivalent reporting tools.
- Previous experience in asset management, housing analysis or real‑estate analysis.
- Knowledge of social housing regulations and asset management practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify and present complex data.
- Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.
- Experience working with asset management data systems such as MRI, Orchard or Sava Intelligent Energy (desirable).
